I wanted the text to be unformatted (to use the defaults).

I will write up details of the problem I encountered and send to you.

An example of the problem of excessive text within X5 E11…

Please go to http://www.ravensrunnerslondon.org.uk/

Click on Race Reports, select Report 2013 and open. Within the browser select ALL text and copy to Notepad.

I then go into my E11 Project, select Test from Race Reports drop-down, to add text to text box. Select copy all and copy from Notepad. Paste within text box. All looks fine.

Go to save then preview and the page comes up with no text…

Click OK. Go back to edit text box and there is nothing there.

However if you do the same exercise with a small amount of data it all works fine.

You are correct, I don't need notepath just setting data in text object with paste gives an error, with past special and then preview (with or without ok) makes the page empty.

I tested in V10, it takes ages ! but it works without errors.

I shall set this post for Incomedia to check, I think also it's a bug, let's see what Incomedia reports ...

I tested it and the text was visible. It only happend if you copied also the menu below.

If you only select the complete text, which is really long for one single object, it was visible in the preview and also after reopening the object.

In any case the best option is always to try to separate long textes in more objects so the program loads faster and editing for you is easier instead of needing to scroll a long object to find the correct part.

To get round the problem I did use multiple text boxes. The problem still needs resloving, see the post before yours.

I did not copy the menu.

I copied only text from page to notepad (copied one word en past it to be shure that my ctrl-c memory was empty after i placed it on notepad.

start up EVO V11 11.0.0.9 :

new project> until first page. Put a full text menu on it.

ctrl-a and ctrl-c on notepad en ctrl-v in x5 press ok -> error  (see attachement)

This should not happen no matter how long the text. In V10 it works without problems.

I agree that it is better to split it up, even use multiple pages cause reading for Custumer is also extensive. But still the error should not occur.

Can you please check this with the developers ?
