Hi,
When using captcha in email forms, the words "Check Word:" appears above the characters. How can I change it to read "Please enter the following characters in the box below."
Thank you.

Cynthia,
You can change this in the language setting.
Select it, search for your text and then change it. You need to upload your site afterwords. The change will only be needed ones.
Dont forget if you check your site to use ctrl-F5 to refresh your data memory to see changes.
Best Regards André
Hello Cindy,
Please go to Step 1 General Settings... look to the extreme right of the 'Content Language' field... you will see a small icon to the right of the arrow for the drop-down menu... click on this icon.
In the new screen which opens scroll down until you get to the entry 'form_captcha_title' in the 'ID content' field... you will be able to directly edit the default 'Check word:' text using the field to the right of this.
Once finished be sure to click 'Close' to save your changes... do NOT click the red cross at the top-right of the dialogue box.
Then upload your project to the server and test.
Kind regards,
Paul

Great! Thank you so much. By the way, is it possible to make the captcha characters appear any darker? Some of them are a bit hard to read.
Thank you again,
Cindy
Unfortunately not, Cindy... not as far as I'm aware anyway?
However, as an alternative to the captcha you can use a 'Check Question' in the form.
Step 3 > Page Creation > Email Form > List (tab) > click on 'Add' button > select 'Check Question' from 'Field Type' choices and add to your form.
There are some (myself included) who feel that the 'Check Question' is even more effective at combatting spam.
Hope this helps.
Just for extra information on Pauls comment.
The captcha is made to read with some difficulty, other way computer software could automaticly read it and answer usally accompinied by a lot of spam.....
But It is do-able. Could it maybe be that your monitor setting are a bit dark as well ?
Best regards !
Andre

Hi,
It's o.k. I just downloaded the .gif files, darkened them in Photoshop, and then uploaded them to the server. Problem solved.
Thanks,
Cindy
