Google tracking code

I have so far had positive resluts from Google tracking, but recently I have had no tracking figures, on visiting WEB MASTER central it tells me there is no code on my site, when I try and copy the code in to the Google tracking section in proffesional, all it leaves in the box is
<script>, with no other bits of code, I have tried, CTRL C and then CTRL V I have also used the mouse copy and paste, but I always only get <script>
It seems this has happenned since I have upgraded to proffesional, any help greatly appreciated as I need to track my web site, why is this not working?

It could be that other programs interfere or you see only one line what if you ga back with your arrow keys?
Try also copy the code to notepad, then select something else and place that below the text just to make sure you first data is cleared. then select the original code from notepad and past it and see if that works.

I have had to copy it letter for letter there was no copy and paste, there was nothing I just had to type the code myself, its now there, im just waiting for confirmation from Google before I close this issue, as of today there are no analytics
