Copying material with links and inserting in another page

When I copy some material saved on one page to another page, the inserted links from the first page don't travel when I simply copy and paste the content into a second page. Is there an other way of duplicating material with links and copying it to another page within the website rather than having to re-insert links a second or third time?

try using the paste special instead of the paste

I tried paste special and it partly worked - 3 links out of 9 within the piece of text were transfered. Would a negative factor in the non-transfer of links be that they are links to popup images!
