Header problem

I am attempting to have a text piece over a slide show in my header.
HOWEVER, despite my clicking on the bringing of the text piece to the FRONT when I preview, the text isn't in the foreground but is visible only when there is a transition from one slide to the other.
How do I sort THAT out?
Thanks,
Nigel

Nigel,
This is caused by rules in showing object in the internet software, scripts have higher priority then plain text or plain pictures. The slide show is made by a script so then back or front don't apply (or better yet are overruled)
What you can do is create your text in the html object. I think that one can be placed over the script (they have same priority) , but then you need to find the code to view your text correct. There are sites that provide it if you can't make it yourself.
Search for convert text to html, or check here: http://4html.net/Online-text-to-HTML-converter-831.html
Goodluck !

Thanks Andre but this should have been realized by Incomedia.
Your idea may well work but I don't want all the hassel...lol!
Every time I try and improve my site I am faced with fundamental flaws in the software...OR IF NOT flaws, wonky programming.
All the sites I am trying to emulate have this ability...look here, for example:
http://www.burghhouse.org.uk/
I am being told my site is interesting but very much out-of-date.
Now, I suppose I'll have to place my website name on every single slide OR abandon the idea and retain my original.
Hopeless!

Andre...
Actually, your method is a lot more simple than I thought.
I created the text on an old copy of Microsoft FrontPage and transfered the HTML to an HTML object...very easy...although there's not a lot of scope for anything too fancy.
Thanks for the nudge!
Nigel
Hai Nigel,
Your Welcome !
And yes this is not a very complicated problem to create a solution for.
And it works.
I'm glad it's sorted out.
