Want to make SEO improvements

So as I have no Google ranking though we have been live for over 2 years, I have decided I want to make SEO improvements.
- What does the "Enter code to customize your website HEAD" mean and how do I go about adding to this field.
- In my Google webmasters tool page, no sitemaps are listed despite the fact that the tick box "Automatically create a SiteMap" within X5 is checked
- I have 184 phrases/website keywords added in the field, is this advisable.
- Are there any other recommendations that can be done within X5 to help with SEO rankings

depends of the code that you need to insert in the Header, if is the gooole analitycs you can insert in the step 4 in SEO,html section.
