Website X5 11 Professional, version 10.0.6.27 Crashing on save.  en

I have been using Website X5 Professional 11 for some time, yet only recently the software has started to crash when saving the project.

This happened while I had two copies of the program open with different, yet similar projects, and I was copying picture elements from one project to another. The copying process itself went fine with no signs of any problems. It is only when I clicked on “Save” that the software crashes.

The saving window gets to between 96 and 99% and then just stops. I can wait for hours and nothing happens.

The software still allows me to create a backup copy and says it was successful.

When I try to close the program, it asks if it should save and I say yes and it tells me it has completed the save and the above window disappears.

I am still able to work on the project, but I am unable to really save the contents.

The program does not close and all I can then do is kill it with task manager.

When I restart the program and try to load the project again, I get the message:

“The specified project is in use or has not been closed correctly. Do you want to continue?”

I click on OK and the project opens and all the changes I made have been lost.

I then went back to the Project selection page, marked the project and performed a “ReDo” with the backup I made during the crashing. When I then opened the project, there was no change and the changes were in the same state as before the redo.

Hello Peter,

Does this happens when you copy the image object from one project to the other or with gallery or text object with images?

If you add the images directly from the program interface by selecting it from the hard disk does the same happens?

Many thanks!
