Text object is empty after preview

After adding text to a text cell and previewing, when I go back in to make changes the text is gone?? I have saved prior to the preview and in any case I have ticked save copy prior to previewing .
This problem is duplicated on another pc with different os and version 11.0.6.27 installed.
The software is unusable in this state please help!

Glenn, to my best knowladge this bug is reported and is hopefully fixed in next update.
For now: just set the preview button in x5 to on (the small preview next to the text object) then the problem should not occur anymore!
