All work in WebSite X5 is carried out offline, within the program itself, using the built-in Preview Browser to check your progress.  Once you are happy with the results you then connect to your server using FTP in Step 5, and upload your files.

Existing websites that have been created using software other than WebSite X5 cannot be imported into the program.  However, you can copy and paste text and images, etc. from existing websites into the various Text and Image Objects within WebSite X5.

If your existing website was created with WebSite X5 (versions 9 upwards) then you should be able to import it using the Import feature you will find in the opening screens.
