How to create a photo gallery?

How can I create a simple. all black background, photo gallery that displays photos one at a time, full-sized? Can it just scroll left-right?
I can make rows of photos go down, but white behind them, and they don't fit the screen well.
Would one photo per page work? How would the user navigate easily?
Is this not the software to do this?
Thanks for any help, totally new to this. Used to use FrontPage 2003...

There is a gallery object that is pretty flexible. You may need to change the background colour for that individual page.

The Home version of WebSite X5 does not incorporate a Gallery feature. The Home version is a very basic version, only one step up from the Free version of WebSite X5.
To create a Photo Gallery in version 10 it would be necessary to upgrade to the Compact version (at a minimum) or preferably either the Evolution or Professional version.
