Hiding drop down menu

Is it possible to hide the drop down menu items? I have a horizontal menu that takes people to the page, but the drop down is just a repeat of the buttons and isn't really necessary:
It is a responsive site, so the drop down menu is required for a tablet or smart phone view to access other pages.
Is there a way around hiding it in full mode, but having it showing in mobile friendly mode.

Avoid unnecessary levels in Sitemap, if only one side in the plane comes you can use the page without plane

Anthony, have you created a level for each page and put a page under each level?
If so, simply remove the levels, or if you intend to some day have multiple pages in each level, simply hide the pages you do not wish to see.
