Hi,
I have spent the last 5 Hours fixing up one of my sites, replacing all of the animated buttons that no longer worked after your last Disaster (You call them Updates). I have found that not only do the old buttons not load. but if you make a new button and try to copy and paste it to another part of the page, or make a copy of said page the buttons dont copy and have to be removed and new ones made. Thanks for wasting my Sunday morning fixing this mess. Now I want to know TO WHOM I SEND THE BILL FOR MY TIME.

David,
With all due respect, I know there is a problem in the update and you have made your point on this already in several posts.
I would respectfully ask you to take notice to the terms and conditions of use of the websitex5 forum: https://www.incomedia.eu/policy/terms-answers_en.html
There is no user that can help you with this question, so there is no reason to post it like this. Please set a post like this to private so only Incomedia can read it and can respond to this.
As to your issue with the software, there are steps to prevent this. Something like this can always happen and Incomedia has the best interest in getting it correct the first time, but checking and testing all possible options would make an update release take way to many time.
You could help out in the Beta channel to prevent this from happening, you would help others users, Incomedia and also yourself !
http://beta.websitex5.com/beta_en.html
Also I would suggest to make a download from your download profile once the software is stable in your own opinion, in this way you can create a copy of your project before upgrading and with these file's you would lose little time in getting back to the previous version.
Another users asked for an easier way to go back to a previous version, I asked him to make an IDEA post of that. If other users support this (or start the post yourself) I'm sure Incomedia will look at it seriously.
Thanks, and again, please set this post as private.
Best Regards, André
@Andre
With all due respect we the paying user expect a serviceable software and not one that knocks us back a step every time an update is released.
Whatever the terms and conditions state, is no reason to censor posts! Incomedia need to "Man Up" and accept their responsibilities.
Taking into consideration my mechanical and aeronautical background, all I can say is if Incomedia manufactured planes, helicopters or ships there would be a serious problem with aircraft falling out the sky and ship's sinking to the bottom of oceans.
Know one can predict problems before they arise, however a suitable testing should be carried out before releasing an update.
Every major update of this software has so many flaws! I have raised this issue multiple times in the past and still nothing changes!
I like many others have the option to jump ship and seek an alternative software, but we don't because the software does do a good job and for these reasons we continue to support the developers and pay a substantial fee for each software Upgrade.
If we were to compare the software to the likes of Microsoft Office we can safely say that Incomedia charges a high premium for its upgrades and for these reasons we expect a fully functional software.
The issues lie with bringing major updates / versions of the software to market when the software is not in a stable and usable condition. Updates should be released when proven to be suitable for the mass market!
This is the responsibility of the developer and if the developer fails to deliver, then they can expect to be on the receiving end of flack from their loyal users.
If Incomedia want the criticism to go away they need to respond accordingly and release only reliable updates.

Hi Andre and PJ D
Thank you for your response. I just want Incomedia to realize that when they get it wrong it not only causes them mass problems, but it can be catastrophic for end user like myself. I have other things to do and I cannot waste hours of my time fixing the program every time I use it. Since the last update, V12 has crashed constantly, I have done everything from uninstall to reinstall and even a clean install of my operating system to fix this and it still crashes. All I want is for Incomedia to be more careful before they release updates as this is not the first time I have had problems when updates have been released. Personally I think Website X5 V12 is a very good program compared to others I have used and could be a great program if they just get it to work properly before worrying about how well it integrates with other programs they are selling. I Know they face a lot of challenges making this program work for everybody but if they kept us more informed we would be better equipped to help them find the answers to the problems.
As for beta testing I was beta testing this product and the previous version and reported problems in both versions which to this day have not been fixed. I only wish they would deal with the known problems and acknowledge them to users instead of burying their heads in the sand and pretending they are going to magically disappear.
Thankyou Pj D. I have to agree with you and if people keep pretending that no problems exist then this progam and this forum will cease to exist, as people will not buy this softwware, and that would be a shame.

Thanks David,
And yes I understand it's frustrating and time cunsuming. This is not why you have x5, I agree with these points.
I think Incomedia got the Idea and I realy hope they can make a switch back function so you can, in case of problems, fall back to the earlyer version, seing how much options there are it's difficult to test and oversee everything so a fall back option becomes more and more important.
Sometime things go wrong, it just happens, it's live and everybody's has it's best intrests in mind.... and for you it happend several times David, I also understand that it is far from plesant.
I usually wait if an update is out for at least a few days before updating and watch the changelog to see if it has any relation to problems there might be on my sites.
Another option I sometimes use is to make a backup of the website itself.
I did not hide this post, I could have, but I did'nt also the other posts are still there, it just got to me that it was the third post.
Let's continue cause besides these items I think x5 is a good product.
I have seen support for other products, in some cases there was totally nothing regarding suuppport or reaction from the manufactorer on complaints, so on the other side, it can be worse as well.
Thanks,
Best Regards,
André
