Text Style / Text Object  en

in Template Style > Text Style I've set text colour to black (my template has a white background.

My Menu has a black background with white text.

I now create a page with just text objects and I would like to replicate the menu style of white text/black background in the text objects.

In Cell style I set the coloured background to black and I then enter the required text, highlight it and set the text colour to white, (background text colour is set to Transparent), create a link to the relevant page and save.

The preview result is black text on black background... so not what I was expecting.

If I set the text object background to a light colour the black text is visible.

Have I done something wrong, can I not override the general text colour when I am working on a text object or is this a problem with the software?

Hello Barry,

I can't recreate your problem in Professional 12.0.3.19 when using basic text in the Text Object.

However, I think this phrase might be key to your issue:

"I then... create a link to the relevant page..."

Can you explain further what you mean by that?  Are you setting hyperlinks on the text in the Text Object?  If so then the colour of those text links is not defined by the Text Color setting in the Text Object itself, but rather by the following setting:

Step 1 General Settings > Template Style > Text Style > Page Item > Active Link/Mouseover Link/Visited Link

Kind regards,

Paul
