Copy a whole row of cells.  en

I use X5 Evo 12.0.4.21 (latest version at time of writing).

Recently had to copy cell rows of common content to a series of new pages and was very disappointed to discover that I had to monotonously copy each cell of each row one cell at a time from one page to the next. This had me having to cycle through and past various pages that were not involved with the copy work - thus making the whole process much more time consuming and extremely tedious.

Can we please have the function added to X5 in the near future. I still find it hard to believe it is not there already.

Does your Pro version have "cell row copy"?

My thanks to PJD and Barry for their work-around suggestions previously.

Best wishes for 2016.

Gordon.

This is another reason I would like to be able to have more than one template (master page/frame) per project.  In some other programs you can have mulitple templates/master frames. Or master objects that can repeat on any page.

When I wish to copy content to a new page with lots of common content I simply copy then rename the page. Then I remove the content I don't require on the new page. This works the same in Evo & Pro to the best of my knowledge.

Absolutely Donald. The lack of it is a bit of a big black hole in the fabric of X5. It sure sucks in enough of my time and patience to qualify for the analogy, lol. Here is hoping Incomedia is listening.

Yes, excellent idea Esahc. But only when there are, as you say, lots of common content. Not really viable when you are only after 1 to 3 rows from a page with ten times or more that number.

Thank you both for your valued and much appreciated contributions.

Onwards and upwards,

Gordon.
