Page corrupted after update to X5 Pro v11.0.8.31
Autore: Adrian E.2 years ago, I began building a site with X5 v10.0. Due to time constraints and more pressing issues, I didn't get very far however, what I did manage is online at www.soeks.fr. This question concerns the contact page at http://soeks.fr/contact.html which contains a working email form.
When v11 was released, I upgraded to that and installed it. It is only recently that I found the time to continue working on the site which is nearing completion. I imported the site and now find the form on the contact page is completely corrupted (see attached screenshots), and I really don't know how to make it work again because the settings all appear to be correct.
So this is a double question:
1. Can anyone tell me how to recover it without starting all over again, or
2. I backed up the exported pages of the version that is currently online. Would it work again if I simply copied the original contact page over the new one, and if that is possible, would I need to copy across anything else for the form to work?
If the 2nd option is possible, would it present problems with the template design which has been modified since the original site was worked on? Also, is there any way I can modify the page so that it carries the same cell border as the other pages in the new site?

So that it is not necessary to visit the page in question, I'm attaching a screenshot of it for comparison purposes.
Hello Adrian,
click on the email form object in that page and clink on the Style tab, than modify the colours of the Label text.
Hope this help.

Hello Riccardo,
Thanks for your reply. I have not solved the issue yet but I may be getting closer. See the attached screenshot showing the settings for the form and what the form now looks like after changing the text label colour.
What is the difference between a text field and a text area?
I would love to be able to just look that up in a user manual but there isn't one, or at least, if there is I cannot find it.
For me, the label is the word to the left of the field. For example, Name. The field is where a user would enter his name. Is that correct or should I replace text fields with a text area?
Also, is there a way I can change the text "Check word" above the Captcha? It is bad English and on a French form I need it in French.
Hello Adrian,
Whilst waiting for further assistance from Riccardo you will find the manual for your software online at the following link:
http://help.websitex5.com/en/v11/pro/index.html
It is also available for download as a PDF file:
https://answers.websitex5.com/profile/downloads
You can press the 'F1' key at any time whilst working in the software, and you will often be presented with context-sensitive help.
Note also that you can change the 'Check word' caption to the text of your choice using the Language Content Management window:

Kind regards,
Paul

Excellent news Paul. Thanks very much for that.
Coming back to the Captcha text, I want this site to be in at least 2 languages. Is the Captcha text editable for each form made? If not, how can I directly access the HTML to edit it manually?
Yes, you can do that with WebSite X5, but you will need to follow the precise instructions in the help file carefully:
http://help.websitex5.com/en/v11/pro/index.html?es_lingue.htm
Good luck!
