Hello,
I created a site with X5 Evolution on my local machine. Due to some problems I had to completely reinstall Windows 10 from scratch. I managed to keep an exported copy of the site I had created but can not seem to import it into WebsiteX5. The program is looking for an .iwzip file.
Is there a way to recreate this file so I can import the project into WebsiteX5 without having to start the project over?

Hello Michael,
What is the filename extension of the file which you have when you refer to an 'exported copy of the site'?
When you choose the option to export a project in Step 5, WebSite X5 automatically produces a file with the correct IWZIP extension.
If you have exported to the server only, then unfortunately it is not possible to recover your website. The best you could do would be download as many images as possible, and insert these into new Image Objects within a new WebSite X5 project. Likewise, copy and paste as much text as possible into new Text Objects within a new project.
Kind regards,
Paul

I have a fold named ...\Incomedia\WebSite X5 v12 - Evolution\project
that conatins several .xml files, a .iwprj file and three folders named Library, Preview and Upload. None of this can be used to get the project into a fresh install of WebsiteX5?
If you have enough data then you may be able to recover your project using those local files, although success is not guaranteed.

For future data security export your project(s) regularly in IWZIP format using the function in Step 5.
Good luck!
