The templates that came with the new software are nice, but are there any free ones that are complete. I mean, when you look at the template icons you see the layout with the page complete with tables graphics and text. it would be nice to have a template with all the page info to get a better idea how to set up the page.

No, you need to add the graphics and text yourself. There are no 'placeholders' included.
