Hi,
I am using windows 10 Home with the latest update.
I have installed WebsiteX5 - V12 professional and I am running into the following:
A. I can't use the Text object, html object, etc - I am not able to enter any text.
B. I have started a project with a template but when I click on preview the screen is blank.
I recently install Website X5 - V13 evolution to test since I could not go anywhere with V12 and I am running into the same problems.
I have done the following:
- I have removed and reinstall the .net framework 3.5 and 4.6 using the "turn windows features on or off".
- I have restarted my computer.
- I have install Microsoft VC++ 2015, 2013, 2012 and 2010 Redistributable (x64 & X86)
- I have uinstall the software, completely remove the folder under the User/AppData directory and install it again.
- I have search online for an a solution
But can't find a solution to my problem.
Is there anyone that has run into similar problems and was able to find the solution? if so, please help.
Sincerely,
Derek

Hello Derek,
Please try to start windows in safe mode and then test it again to see if then it works.
If it works in this way then it means a program or process which is set to start automatically is causing the issue.
Please keep me updated.

Hello Claudio,
You are right, I started the program in safe mode with network available and it is working.
Can you please let me know what I can do to find what is blocking it and how to fix it?
I am using Kasperky, I dont know if this is the problem but It may be worth mentioning it.
Sincerely,
Derek
Hello Derek,
Thank you for your test. In this case the best solution is to stop all programs set to start automatically in windows and then enable one by one until you have again the issue. You can find the procedure on how to disable and enable them on following link:

Many thanks!

Hello Claudio,
Thank you for the help.
I disable all my software in the startup menu but I was still running into the same problem, the pluss point is that my computer starts very quicly now and it does not seem to be affecting anything else.
I FOUND THE SOLUTION:
It is fixed now due to a stab in the dark, but not sure which solution make it work as I did them at same time.
A. Change the server ip address to 127.0.0.2 under the preferences of website X5.
B. I dissable contana from my windows 10 home computer using the regedit.
Its most likely (A) because I have other servers installed on my computer for testing purposes (firebird, XAMPP, etc), probably one of them is conflicting with the website x5 but I am not 100% sure.
I will not recomend (B) to any one if they do not know what they are doing with the registry.
Hope this information helps other people.
