Responsive template does not use desktop menu on desktop breakpoint

I'm not sure if i'm doing it wrong, but when I use the Responsive template and I use the desktop part, it's still got the little menu button as if I was on a mobile site. I really would like to use the Responsive site, but that's a deal breaker. How do you get the full menu to show up in the desktop site?

Do you have separators in your menu? If so, then the problem is a known issue which should be resolved in a future update.
