Are you using your software as administrator?
In order to check, please right-click on the program icosn, then select ''run as administrator''. Now start your software and let me know if you manage to use it correctly.

I removed the program completely and also all the traces of the program in  C:users/....

Than I reinstalled it and everthing did it again.

I see that you have already had this kind of issue in the past and that My collegue Claudio has helped you out with it. May ask you if you have changed anything in your computer?

In this case, I think it would be useful to install again all the .NET Frameworks, starting from .NET 2.

Use the cleanup tool from following link and remove .NET 3, 2.5 and then 2:

The last 5 days I reinstalled Vesion 13 4 times. So almost every day I had the same error and question to reinstall your software.

Now I used your cleanuptool and started installing yor list.

But installing Framework 2.5 did not work >. need visual expres 2005 to install but win10 does not except that so I installed th erest of your list.

We will see.  the comming days. I will mail yopu the results.

Meanwhile 6 days ago, I reinstalled the frameworkstuff you adviced me to do and afterwards I uninstalled and rerintalled WX5 v13. Today I started my pc and started WX5 as administrator and the same problem occured. So it worked for 6 days and now I have to reinstall WX5 again. And  every time I have to input my settings again adfterwards, because of unstalling the program. I have to uninstall the program completely, because of the fact that ohterwise the new installation does not work, so I also have to delete the files under C:/users/name/appdata/local/incomedia/website x5.

I also have WX5 version 12 on my pc, can that be a problem, I can not believe that, because version 13 did not had this problem for nearly a month.

I am dispirit and I hope realy that there is a sollution.

please help me?

Could you please update your version of the program? We have released a new one today.
I think you probably have issues with your system, could you by any chance try to install your program on another computer so that you are able to use it?
I think you need to restore your windows configuration settings.

Sure, I can install the software on another pc, but that is not the sollution for my problem, because, when working at a website, I need frontpage, photoshop and lots more programs. They all have limited installation licence, so I simple can not work on two pc's and tranferring stuff from one to another.

I will reinstall version 13 again and update it. We will see.

I setback my pc with an image to a few month ago. My Idea is that I installed (perhaps) some update (Flash in firefox for example) that could caused my problems??, I do not know?.

I updated my WX5 v13 after that.

I connected my projectfiles in a folder on an extern harddisk and this worked before for several years with WX5.

Now, at the startup of WX5 this folder is changed to the default folder of the WX5 (see screenshot).

I had this before, a few weeks ago, so I think the same problem wil occur soon and the program will not startup again.

It is very strange that after a few times of starting up the program within a few days of working good, the problems get started little by little.

Also I changed some windows 10 settings back to  default.

I realy do not understand why the program loses some settings.

As I wrote above,  unfortunately, and within one hour after installation on another PC, the programs failed.
It showed the same error as my orriginal problem at my first PC. But now it happened almost directely.

If in the preferences you set a folder on your computer then it works or you receive the same error message?

Does the external Hard disk has alwways the same drive letter?

Hallo Claudio,

I did set this projectfolder to my external harddisk and this works for years. I never did change the driveletter or foldernames. Also it is not a networkharddisk but an Usb harddisk. Now in this new version V13, it lost this connection to the right folder multiple times. So the program  sets back to the default folder after starting up, So it sets back the projectfolder to the folder as you see after a first install. Mostly the day after this, the program stops starting up again and shows the startup-errormessage as sent in the screenshot above.

Could it be my eset antiviris program??. I read an article on your forum that tells that some antivirusprograms have problem with update and the removal of old updatefiles. By the way, I do not have  this specific problem, because these files are removed on my pc in the websiteX5,but perhaps blocks my antivirus some other procecces??

I hope you can find the answer for my both pc witch the same problems and the same antivirusprogram

As I said above, yesterday the program loses his projectfolder. Today it does not start up anymore.

-Virusscan??

-I have got a new IP adres a few day before the start of this WX5 problem and could it be the verification of my licencenumber wenn starting up.

-Or is my licencenumber blacklisted somewhere.

PS the problem occurs on 2 different PC with the same antivirus, both pc have there uwn usb harddisk on witch the project are put on. The installation of WX5 on this second Pc was only on demand of your collegea to test if the same problems would occur. And it did so.

Please help me because I have lots of website for customers

the licence or IP have nothing to do with the issue. Is the drive letter always the same of the USB hardisk when you start the computer?

when you use instead a folder on the computer do you receive the same error message or does it works?

The drive letter stays always the same after starting up.

I wil try out your last point. I will copy al the stuff to my c: drive and we will see. As You know  we have to wait some days, because this problem occurs after a few days.

I the websiteX5-program 10 day now, after transporting my projectfiles to the C: drive instead of my usb harddisk.

The day after the program only one time loses his connection to these projectfiles on the C:drive. But after rechosing the right c:drive projectfiles it does not have any problem again.

So problem solved.
