Hello Konstantinos
You could use the download button object, but this will not prevent users that finds the files via google , to download it.
All this button does is to create an extra folder and in here puts some php to manage the counting of downloads.
There is no "protection" for the file.
You could use a system like ADMIDIO. this system is a very good member system, and could be used for B2B.
It is also one of the best ( and THE best when ver. 3.3 are awailable ) event managing systems.
It has a "real" download functionality. All files are "locked" and can only be downloaded via the program. Even if you know the filename you cannot acces the file.
I use it for a system I am building. Here it is a system where you can download files if you are a member.
Folders can be set with rights. Free material is downloadable for all. Other material can only be downloaded when you are logged into the system. You decide for each folder whao will have access.
The system has a chat-function, so you can chat with your customers. It is totally safe.
You can see the entrance to the member system here : http://www.energifremtiden.dk/c4d/member-system.html
You can see an example where we present the material and where to download the material. You can only download if you are logged in, or if it is free material. You can see it here : http://www.energifremtiden.dk/c4d/3d-figuren.html
And also here : http://www.energifremtiden.dk/c4d/objekte.html
There is also a counter for each download link.
Via iframes, you can have it look like integrated in your site.
You can see some more information to the ADMIDIO system here : https://www.admidio.org/
I hope you can use this information.
You could also manually via FTP set the permissions for a file or folder, and then make a download routine yourself.
You can use some php - see here : https://stackoverflow.com/questions/14173675/how-to-protect-files-from-direct-download
Hope you find a solution for your system
Kind regards
