V12 -v14 Object reference not set to an instance of an object

I have just upgraded from evolution 12 to evolution 14. When trying to import my project from 12 to 14 I get "an error occured whle loading the project [Object reference not set to an instance of an object]"
I have read the guidance on conversion of projects for 12 -13 and 13 to 14.
I have removed all objects apart from text and images/galleries, i,e map,email form, search bar etc.
I have checked each page for errors but can not find the cause of the error. I assume I have missed something simple. but have little experience with making websites so I am somewhat lost with what to do.

Update v.12 from your Profile.
Export the Project
With this version export a new IWZIP file.
In v.14 import this IWZIP file.
(IT) - Aggiornare la v.12 dal proprio Profilo.
Con questa versione esportare un nuovo file IWZIP.
Nella v.14 importare questo file IWZIP.

V.12 is up to date.
I have exported the project in v.12 and imported it to v.14, it is on trying to open the project in v.14 I get this error "an error occured whle loading the project [Object reference not set to an instance of an object]"

I have just done a test by creating a new project in v.12, named it test, chose a default template, added no contect and made no changes, exported the project, in v14 i mported the test file and still get the same error "an error occured whle loading the project [Object reference not set to an instance of an object]"
I still cant resolve the issue but this must mean the problem is more fundemental than I assumed.

Please install the new update of Version 14 by clicking on "check for updates" and once installed then proceed to import the project again.

Thank you for the update, I can now open the project and that issue is resolved.
I do get "some fonts used in this document have not been linked to the project: list of fonts, they will be replaced by the templates default fonts"
Is there something I can do to resolve this or do I need to change them in v.14
Was the backwards compatibility for v.14 not checked in the testing stage? People/businesses like me with little experience choose products like this for the easier user interface, As mentioned I have wasted hours just trying to open my existing websites project thinking that the issue was something I was doing wrong, whereas the issue was obviously in the program itself. this time could have been much better spent in updating my website or doing pretty much anything else.
Even though I am annoyed about the time watsed on the error, I am very grateful that you fixed the error with an update so quicky after me posting the comment.

Hello Morgan,
About the fonts you need to add them again in the project as webfont and this can be done as example in the text object by clicking on "other font types" in the font selection where then you can add the font you want to use in the project so then it can be used.
It is necessary to be a webfont so it will work then on all devices also if these ones have not installed the font.
