Problem with Email Form Object

On my website I have an Email Form Object so that our members can sign up for future events. Until about 2 weeks ago (beginning November 2017) this worked perfectly. However, recently neither the mail to the organiser of the event nor the response are generated. As far as I can see, no settings have been changed.
As suggested, I tried the Webtest form and although everything appeared OK, here too no mail was sent or received.
Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

check if your provider has changed the PHP settings for your hosting. Maybe you can set them yourself? Some providers provide that as service.
Also test several email scripts in x5 so that the communication with the above mentioned version is good.
If one does not understand the other one then no mail is send. (some versions differences might have this effect)
see advanced settings in step 4 and then left below email script. You coulld try to change it upload and test again.
also the online admin panel (test section may help you)

Thank you for your reply. I hope you will be able to answer my questions arising from it.
How do I find my provider's PHP settings?
How do I test email scripts?
In step 4 I do not have the option email script - see the attached screen print step 4.png
I also attach a screen print of the online admin panel
Can you see anything I need to change?
Thank you again.
How do I find my provider's PHP settings?
-> php is set, akkording to the test, you can check the possibility to use php for mailing with your provider, see there faq, or ask there helpdesk.
How do I test email scripts?
-> in the admin panel, see if with different settings mail comes in.
In step 4 I do not have the option email script - see the attached screen print step 4.png
-> see left below data management, and then again left below
I also attach a screen print of the online admin panel
-> yes there you have part of your first question, you have php. now you need to find out (with your inetrnet provider) if they have closed the use of email by php.
Can you see anything I need to change?
-> No I can't you need to test and then see if mail comes in or not, else test another php script until it works, set that script then in x5.

Thank you for your reply. I'll try out your suggestions and get back to you later.
If you need any help then please post here, no problem!
For Mailing you need also software from the provider, because a mail send from youre website is send by the provider.
There are several software standards for that, and some providers allow only one of those.
So maybe they have changed it, because you did not.
