You could make some subfolders on your site.

Then you make a project with template01 and uploads this in subfolder temp01

Then you make a project with template02 and uploads this in subfolder temp02

You can see how I have 2 testsites in subfolders on my site bramminginfo.dk

Here I have testsite 01 ( could have been template01 ) in folder brm01

http://www.bramminginfo.dk/brm01/

And here I have a testsite in subfolder brm02 : http://www.bramminginfo.dk/brm02/

And here a subfolder brm03

http://www.bramminginfo.dk/brm03/

You could do the same and then let your customer see the templates.

When you know what template should be used, you could easily delete the subfolders not to be used.

When the project is finished then upload the final project to the root.
