Sue. I am not sure if I understand the question, is it about your hosting company (could be linux?) or the technology used to generate your site (Website X5)?
Anthony is right. When someone ask you what platform your website is using they mean what webserver is in use. Is it Unix-hosting (e.g. Apache) or a Microsoft platform (Internet Information Server). You can ask your hosting provider where you host your website what platform is in use.

I believe it the technology used to generate WebSite X5
Sue - I will let more informed users/moderator/Incomedia staff tell you the answer, I just assumed it was in house software written with C++ and .net
I look forward to the official response (I have asked Incomedia to respond :-)
websitex5 generated files should work on all servers that are linux based. html files are generic and the objects etc.

Hi Sue,
they are probably referring to the server.
You can tell them that WebSite X5 is compatible with Windows, Linux, Unix servers and that PHP 5.x, MySQL are needed.
Thanks! I wish you a lovely day.
