X5 server resource requirements

Does X5 require any server-side scripting such as PHP or ASP.NET? (X5 contact form???)
Im contemplating using AWS Lightsail or S3 as a server - anyone else tried them with X5?

Your server must have PHP.
Objects like the forms, and use of restricted area, requires PHP. There will be many things you cannot have if your server is not able to support PHP.
