Example using these two objects: The Catalog Viewer and Audio Player. Both have an icon do download the file. However the download icon is different from one to the other.  

Furthermore, hover over the download icon in the Catalog Viewer and a Screen tip shows as to what the icon does. "download PDF"  

However hover over the download icon on the Audio player, there is no Screen Tip.  

I suggest that it would make sites look more professional if all icons that do a similar task are identical. If there are screen tips then there are screen tips in one object, then there should also be screen tips for all - or at least an option to turn them on or off.

Furthermore where there are download options in a plugin, an option to count downloads either visibly or invisibly.
