Hi.
I have an iwzip that is corrupt and will not load. It was created with x5 V17.08 and it will not import. It just says it's central directory is corrupt. This is a massive website. Is there any way of repairing the iwzip? or I will have to rebuild the website from scratch. Thanks in advance.

Terry, is there any chance you still have access to the original project files with backups?

No. I don't. Had a full windows re install. Just zipped them svaed them and then tried to inport them into the new installation.
Do you mean that you exported the files in IWZIP format and saved them using your old version of X5? I am assuming so, it's just that the way you wrote it seemed to suggest otherwise.
If you did do that and the IWZIP is now corrupted, that will pose problems and you may need to do the whole thing from scratch. Your reply mentions several files, though, not just one IWZIP. Has this happened to more than one project?
Terry (please make a copy of the iwzip before proceeding), once upon a time users were advised to rename the iwzip as zip and then unzip to file. Does this work (in other words, is the iwzip corrupt or is it that WX5 is having difficulties with missing or corrupt source files)?
You have copied the iwzip file locally? WX5 sometimes has difficulties across network and USB connections.

Hi.
I had a problem with windows. S0 I backed up all my websites (Iwzipped them all up ) and saved them. I then reinstalled windows and all other programmes. Then when I tried to import the Iwzip it fails. Saying that the central directory is corrupt. This only happened on 1 iwzip file. all the rest of the projects imported no problem. It is just this one file that will not import for some reason. I have tried to extract the files with winzip. But there is no option to extract or unzip the files. Regards.
You must rename iwzip as zip first. You may need to turn show file types on in explorer to do so.
