TEMPLATE ISSUE-PLUMBER AT HOME
Autore: Burton A.i just purchased Plumber at Home template and I am stumped. I don't have the site up on the web yet, but, I've attached a screenshot of my problem. I started editing it and the home page is this big image of a plumber with his "level" right under the site links as you will see in the picture. I want to delete this image, but, I can't find it to delete it. It's like it is embedded in the background or something. You'll see in the screenshot how I put an image in and it lands over this image but does not replace it. Where is this image, I can't find it. Is it actually part of the home page site? I can't tile over it or get rid of it so I can just use my own image without it in the background. I'm sure you will understand it from my screenshot and if you look at the original template. When you look at my screenshot, you'll see the original image from the template with an image I tried to replace it with, but, it actually just inserted itself over the original image. I don't want to resize the replacement image to sit over it, I want to get rid of the original image. Thank You.
Hello.
"Is it actually part of the home page site?" - yes. Go to the page and click on Rows formats.

Hi, if it is part of the home page as you say, what do i do about it? For the rest of the page, all I have to do is simply update some text. Everything else is great. But, I want to put my own picture in there and get rid of it without having to start from scratch with a blank page. What can I do and why was it created that way? It would have been smarter to just create the page with a jpg that could easily be replaced. Why would the creator of the page do that? I see no advantage to it. But, any suggestions on how to remove it without getting rid of the rest of the page? Thank You.

okay, I deleted the row. But, now when I create a new blank row and I insert my own image, it won't let me adjust the size in edit and I don't know the dimensions to build a JPG as an exact fit for the desktop view and look at what happens when I insert a photo. It's tiny and I can't resize it. Please see 2nd attachment. That tiny photo can't be resized. Thank You.
"What can I do and why was it created that way?" - You can change the picture on your own.I do not know why this was done.Probably to display a picture in the entire width of the browser window.
"Why would the creator of the page do that?" - I do not know why this was done.Probably to display a picture with a parallax effect.
"ut, any suggestions on how to remove it without getting rid of the rest of the page?" - Click on the Local File on PC field and press Delete on the keyboard.
" I don't know the dimensions to build a JPG as an exact fit for the desktop view and look at what happens when I insert a photo." - This is an image from a template you bought (1280px × 851px).

Hi, Aleksej, Appreciate all your help! Got rid of that picture. New problem. I put the site up on a domain for you. http://www.900.net My new problem is, as you view the screenshot, I want to enlarge the 3-photos, but, even when I put a larger picture in, it resizes it to the exact same really small dimensions. How can I free it up to accept a larger picture than that small frame that it puts all pictures in when I upload it no matter what the original size of the picture is. Thank You.
"How can I free it up to accept a larger picture..." - with what object are these elements made?Maybe in this object there are settings for images?
If there are no such settings, you can create reviews with the help of several objects: text and image.

Hi, Aleksej, please check out this new screenshot. I think it will make my question more clear. Again, you can see the site on the web at www.B900.net Thank You.
Burton, if the pictures are placed in a text cell with the text to the right of the image then what you see is to be expected. You could place your grey heading, then on the next line the picture, then on the next line the blue text, then select all and center. This would allow the image to be as wide as the cell.
Perhaps you could do a print screen of the step 4 pages page creation screen showing the cell layout for that part of the page to save us guessing?
eg
Burton, try what Esahc advised you.

Hi, Eashc and Aleksej. IT WORKED!! THANK YOU!! (I haven't changed the size permanently when you go on the web, but, I tested it. Now, I know how to do it, when I finish the site. Thank You.)
One more for you: When I look at the view in responsive/mobile and you'll see what I mean if you go to www.b900.net on your phone:
After you scroll to the video, it takes 2-pictures from the desktop view and it groups them one after the other. When you look at the desktop view, it seperates them between the segments. I'll try to describe it.
In desktop view, on the right middle of the screen, it shows the video. Underneath the video, it shows (2) sections. (1) says Air Conditioning with a pic above it and text below and next to it, (1) shows HVAC Duct Cleaning with a pic above and text below.
When you look at it in mobile/responsive, it sets it to show the 2-pictures combined together followed by the text sections and I'm not sure what to do. I want the pictures seperated for the 2-text sections like on the desktop view, but, if I erase them or choose to keep them from being viewed, then they won't be seen on mobile.
I can't screenshot how it appears on my cell phone, but, these are the 2-pictures in the screenshot and section I'm describing in the attachment and if you look at it on your cell phone, you should see what I mean.
Thank You.
Burton, you have some control over this behaviour in Responsive Settings
Now you can set the order the cells appear and when the cells will move to the next row at lesser resolutions.
For mobile phone display WX5 will always force single column view.
Hallo Burton,
sieh dir mal das LINK mal an, hier hast du auch noch eine MENGE zu tun.
Nur mal so als TIP.
Hello Burton,
take a look at the LINK, here you have a lot to do.
Only as TIP.
Klaus - this may be true, but first Burton needs to get the website to look as he requires :-)

Hi, Esahc, Klaus, Aleksej. Seems you have really thought of everything. You can pretty much do most everything you want with the software. It's great. I will try to re-order as you explained. May not get to it for another day or two. Klaus, thank you for the link on SEO. Actually, I will be moving the site when it is finished to another domain. I just use the B900.net while I'm working on it to see how it looks. Everyone has been really great with the help. I will update you in a day or two when I try to update the responsive "ordering" Thank You.

All fixed. Thank You So Much! I still have work to do on the site. I will be changing some of the pictures and changing some of the text. But, that stuff will be easy and then I will move it to the new domain. I could not have fixed these issues without your help. Thank You Again, guys! Really appreciate it.
