Until recently, I was able to use my Website X5 Evolution program (on 17
Oct.2011, I uploaded the newest version of my application onto the
internet). Now, the Website X5 Evolution program doesn't even load on my
computer: I get the Incomedia error message "Generic error on loading the
program" (my translation), without any further explanation.

On 2 Apr.2009, I had tried to update Website X5 Evolution from Version 7 to
Version 8, but I am no longer sure whether I succeeded, or wether I just
gave up. From my notes, I cannot reconstruct which version I now effectively
have (7 or 8).

It is of paramount importance for me not to have two versions, but I just
want to have the newest version, but without endangering my existing
application. Rebuilding my website application from scratch would imply an
enormous amount of work. How can I update to version 9 under these
conditions, and that without first installing some version 8?
