Example of "seamless" resizing for row-format slideshow
Autore: John S.It is possible to make a row-format image or slideshow automatically and seamless adapt to a resized screen, and to have the height adapt as the witdh is changed.
It can be done by having a png image on top of it.
Example here :
http://bramminginfo.dk/kikkenborg.html and here http://bramminginfo.dk/riber-kergard.html
And an example how it looks when a text-object is on top and then resizing does not function so well.
http://bramminginfo.dk/s.-knuds-kirke.html ( not very adaptive )
As it can be made with a png, it can be made transparent. I have made a text and also a mouse-over effect. It could have been made pure transparent with no text. And it could have been made with no mouse over effect.
This is just to show an easy way to have a row-format "slideshow" be fully adaptive.
If you are an expert of Css code you can get my custom code inserted here for resize images and text:

I used the new free object "Content Slider" + extra code
Best regards
Very interesting and nice page, Guiseppe!
Is the object you mentioned still available? I cannot find it by "Content Slider" name...

Very nice Giuseppe.
I have used much the same code here http://bramminginfo.dk/museet.html where it is used to keep the aspect ratio for the iframe.
But for my example in the first post NO CUSTOM CODE is needed. I think this could be interesting for users that do not want to use extra code.
The contant slider is a free standard object that has been added recently.
The Content Slider is a free widget available in the list of all Objects.
you must search for it among the main objects available for the composition of the page

I made this thread just to tell users with none or little knowledge to html/CSS, how it is possible to make images/slideshow in row-formats adaptive without special code.
I think that the actual participants is not the audience for my intentions
They will find the thread anyway John, you gave it a good title.
@Andre E.
Can't find it (WSX5 Pro 17.1.2)
DOn't have that Page main Objects category...
@ Tom,
The main page content filter is only available on step 4 itself, it is not in the manage button section.
The object has been added in V19 in the latest version. I don't think it is available in older versions.
So if you realy want it you need to update if you dano't have v19.
Check top right pulldown, offers for you..... or use John's methode.
Best Regards,
