My computer crashed. I did not backup to the cloud. Is there a way to retrieve the website files from the actual website itself or do I have to reinstall x5 and recreate it
Postato il
The last option unfurtanatly.
It is not possible from website to create a project that can be used in x5.
You need to start over again from scratch but you can use offcource teksts and pictures from internet to copy past into the new project, thiis might save you some time.
Always make the backup on another medium and i alos recomment to do this when you build up your project again, save regurlaly, if there is something wrong you won't lose a lot of work, but only the part to the last save. use export project in step5, this is the savest way, and again use another medium then where x5 lives.
Goodluck
Adam, everything Andre said is correct, but I have a question. How catastrophic was the computer crash?
Did you loose all your documents, photos, music etc?
If the documents directory still exists (even on an unbootable HD it is unusual to loose everything) then the Incomedia folder in which the project is stored may be retrievable.
