Issue with Header / Main Page Contents
Autore: Phil K.Good Morning / Evening,
I have an issue which started about a couple of months ago which I wonder if anyone could advise please as its driving me mad.
When I create a new website it does not matter if I use a blank template or one from the selection. Once I start to work on the Header and say put a logo on. When I preview it the header covers have of the screen. I have adjusted the height of the Header, but this does not make any differance. Even if I reduce the header to 50 it still still covers the Main content. It looks ok in the template structure page but in preview or if I upload it it expands. The attachced picture show in the top one the template structure and the seconf what it looks like in preview of if I up load it.
Can anyoneplease help, its driving me mad. This never used to happen.
I am using Website X5 16.3.1
Many thanks in advance.
Phil
Are you sure you work on the correct viewport?
On the top of your picture your work on the desktop viewport (red on the left)
But the preview (colour on top) is green this is the viewport below red (desktop)
you need to adjust all viewports and work on them one by one.
use the icons in the preview to show you the template you work on.
Select in x5 on the left the viwport you wish to design, start on the desktop (red one) make it like you wish then work your self slowly downwards until you end with the black colour (the mobile viewport)
maybe this helps as well:

Hi Andre,
Thank you for your answer. I am using the destop viewpoint. As I say it looks ok when adjusting the template, but the header seems to triple in size when previewed of uploaded.
Phil, I too still use v16 for a couple of websites. Where are you adding the logo?
If I add the logo in Step 2 template, template content, header I have absolute contol of it's size and placement (and can use send to front, push to back as required), but if I use step 2 template, template structure I get totally different results. Frequently I can use this to my advantage, but it can be frustrating.
Please try place your logo in step 2 template, template content, header and I believe you will get the result you expect.
. . . . and seriously consider upgrading to the current version
In the preview you show you are not in the desktop version but in the green one.
you need to have this in the preview screen: ( a mini red line)
or did you already corrected this in the preview?
What's the website adress if you have it online?
