I have an X5 pro project but I bought X5 Evo. Is there anyway to have it converted?  en

I had a friend make a website for me in X5 Pro. I liked the software so much that I decided to buy it for myself to use and maintain my website.

When I tried to import the website project I found out that because he had Pro and I have Evo that I cant import it.

Is there anyway I can have this project converted so I can use on Evo. I dont need the functionality of Pro as its only a basic website that I have and that is why I chose pro.

Can anyone help?

Hello Stuart,

Unfortunately there is no way to import/convert to the Evo edition a project which has been created with the Pro edition.

If you are not using any of the Pro features then you could try to replicate your existing project by starting a new project in your Evo edition.  Or your friend might do that on your behalf?

Kind regards,

Paul

Oh, thats disappointing. In that case I bought the software this morning for no reason so I will request a refund. I might as well just pay him to update it as and when I need too. :(

Thanks anyway.

You can use X5 on two machines - maybe you get refund for Evo, then pay your friend something and your friend lets you have the second install of pro on your machine (I mean his machine.... that he lends to you to keep license legal)......

You could do that only by special arrangement with Incomedia (purchasing a MULTI user licence).

But the standard WebSite X5 licence permits a SINGLE user to install/use on up to two computers:

WebSite X5 End User Licence Agreement
