I am thinking of handing my SEO tasks to an outside agency and they will need to access my site to perform the amendments. Can they do this without having the WebSite X5 software and just login details or will they have to use it?
TIA
Anthony

Hi I believe they would require a copy of the software.

can they not use the file manager within my hosting provider?
As I understand it, they could access your site on your server using FTP. The problem then is that your copy of the site (the X5 copy on your computer) would no longer be the same as the site on you ISP's server as your SEO agency may well have tweaked things.
Others may have greater knowledge :)

ahh yes, that makes sense...
Hi
your web page not big problem. One day page SEO and server configration
1:resources return 4xx status codes=3
2:www and non-www versions are not fixed on your website
3:You have duplicate HTTP and HTTPS content on your website
4:Some pages on your site are over 3MB in size. To big page=2
5:Dofollow external links=13
6:Empty alt text=27
7:Dublicate titles=2
8:Dublicate meta descriptions=11
SEO is also the content - keyword density - URL name (file name). X5 also required for that
Yes content important but Google not look keyword.

Hello Tayfun and Adrian
thank you for your replies - this is a bit over my head I am afraid - are there any tips/tutorials I can read to help fix these problems?
Autore
Duncan yeah I see this could be a problem - and what if I want to do some cosmetic changes to the site - add pics etc... If I just export files modified after last export, would they overwrite the adjustments the agency had put in place? Call me confused! LOL
Hi Anthony
I help you. Can you send me a copy of the project and pictures. I will fix and send within a day. your write content.
Hello Anthony,
My apologies but I have temporarily hidden your post for your own benefit.
A WebSite X5 IWZIP file contains server details and login credentials in Step 5. By posting these on a public forum there is a possibility that an unscrupulous individual with malicious intent could gain access to your server.
I suggest that you share an email address with Tayfun, and send your project either via email or a file sharing service like WeTransfer or SwissTransfer.
The forum normally obscures email addresses but you can write yours in the following format:
email [at] email.com
Kind regards,
Paul

Thanks Paul, I should've thought - I'm usually more savy than that!
