Hi There,
I have a project where the template was accidentally changed and saved, messing up the layout of the website, however the site is still ok online as the changes to template were not uploded.
I cannot find the original template used in the long list of default templates, to restire the design in WX5, and I do not want to have to redesign the website again!
Please can you advise how i can find out how I can restore the website project as it was into WX5?
Kind Regards.
{Using WX5 Evo 13}

Hi Again,
Just to update that the local PC saved version of the website also seems to be corrupted, so my question now is if you can restore a website into Wx5 from the uploaded live website files?
Hello.
"Please can you advise how i can find out how I can restore the website project as it was into WX5?" - if you do not have a backup copy of the site project before the changes, then you will have to redesign the website again.
"can restore a website into Wx5 from the uploaded live website files?" - no.
John, in such an old version (there have been 10 subsequent versions!) the only way to protect your project is to create an iwzip (step 5, export project). You should do this often and manually rename it with a date after doing so.
If you happen to have a very old iwzip file you created earlier, you can import it (it will not overwrite the existing project) and either update or export the template.

I have tried to import an older backup with the correct layout and most of the basic data, but it says the template "dstudio" needs to be downloaded.
When i try to download it, it says "Generic Error" and all i can click is {OK}.
If i could get this template downloaded, it would save me ALOT of time in the recovery!
John, by searching for "dstudio website x5" I came up with this link https://market.websitex5.com/en/templates/1a32f4c9-db74-4347-8b5f-1212b073504
Sadly it offers error 404 - not found
If this was a paid for template you may have some redress from Incomedia. I have marked this post for Incomedia's attention even though support has not been offered for v13 for a considerable time. Conversely, if any users have knowingly used this template they could save it and possibly make it available?
If your website still exists online it may be worth investigating the content via filezilla etc. For the website to exist and display as you wish then all of the componenets of your site, and in particular the template, must be there. If you retrieved them you should be able to recreate the template/layout (although not as easy as simply upgrading to a current version and recreating your site with modern software)
