I am using Websitex5 more then 10 years and I am very satisfied.
Recently, I have decided to update software and bought WebSite X5 Pro 2020.3.6.
So, I would like to migrate from WebSite X5 Evolution Version 8.0.16 to WebSite X5 Pro 2020.3.6.
Is it possible to have two instalations on the same PC, it seems that migration will be much easier that way.
Regards,
Aleksandar

Hello Aleksandar,
It is certainly possible to have two different versions of WebSite X5 on the same PC.
As regards migration, however, you might be best advised to begin afresh with a new project in version 2020.3. This is because there have been so many major changes to the software over the years that it is extremely difficult and tedious to upgrade a v8 project. There is certainly no 'direct' upgrade route. V8 projects cannot be directly imported into v2020.3 - the oldest version which can be imported in this way is version 11.
Please see the following links for further information and detailed guides on upgrading:

Dear Paul,
Thank you for such fast respond.
I will begin with fresh project, but I feel that is easier to see what I have done in previous version and in some cases just copy/paste from one version to another when possible.
Warmest regards,
Aleksandar
you can't copy object, blog's article, or pages within different version
if you open two instance of the same version you can copy object, blog's article, or pages from one project to another...

I know...thank you. But I can copy text from text object. Most important thing is that I can have two versions of Website x5 opened at the same time and work between them. Structure of the page is reather complicated so it will be good to see how I did it the first time.
