Extra option for hamburger menu(s)
Autore: John S.As the hamburger menu (and menu in general) is now there is two ways you can use the menus.
1. You use the pop-up for a level. This is done when hovered
2. You hide the pop-up and then you have to specify a page to land on when clicked.
If you use the 1 and you have more levels and/or many menu items, a user will never find out what happens before he gives up. When hovered then the levels pop up and if not all the items can be on the screen and/or you have many levels then it is very difficul to hold focus where you are in all the pop-ups. In case of more levels and many menu items - it is rather useless.
If you use the 2 you will not confuse your users but maybe you will frustrate them. When they in the hamburgers side-panel click an item, the user will land on a page for the next level - and from here he will then have to open a new hamburger if he want to "go down" a further level. And again if he wants to go down another level. The user can see what happens but he will find it very troublesome navigating this way.
I suggest we have an option for a hamburger (or one setting that is for all hamburgers) when you have the side-panel.
The setting should be : If a menu item is a level then replace the level in the side-panel with this level instead of opening the page specified for the level. If menu item is a page then open the page.
This should do that the user can navigate in the same side-panel - he will just see the menu items change according to the level he clicked - or he will go directly to a page if it is a page.
Simple for a user to understand and a very effective way of navigating.

Example:
If you have chosen "Historien" you will see this:
If you then click on "Udvikling" you will see the page "Udvikling" as it is now.
If you click the item "Pionertiden" you will (as it is now) see the page "Brammingbogen" as this is the page that is set for the level.
Instead I want the content of the side-panel to shift to this content instead as this is the "next" level.
This should happen when the setting for the hamburgers are set to levels instead of pages.
You should be in the same opened side-panel until youn either close the side-panel or you click on an item that is not a level but is a page.
If this was made we would have a useful hamburger/side-panel.
Alternatively you make a new overlay meny that can operate on all levels.
Or - make something like Luca E, has done here: https://www.arteottica.net/chi-siamo.php
The way Luca has made it where the menu-item expands and you have icons that tell what will happen is very good. I hope that it will not be so that the support for the product is made by the users themself and also the development of the product has to be made by the users.
Hello. I sent a notification about your ideas to the company employees, expect an answer from them here in the comments.
Hello John,

Please support this. If you think it is not needed I would like to know how you have the hamburger/side-panel to function properly. Please enlighten me.
