Hi, I looked at wbsiteX5 some time ago but could not afford it and so used a free program (BluGriffon) create my website. I am now looking for a better solution for the site maintenance but do not wish to re-create the site. The site consists of 6 pages, one of which goes to two levels. Would websiteX5 be able to do this, please? If so, which would be the best version?

Howard you are better off going for Evolution X5 V9 (HTML5) This is the cutting edge in website building software.... If you show us your website I would be able to see whether it would go into X5 V9 easily!! Most websites do and can be made to fit using the Custom Template.... To which I have video tutorials for you to follow at the Cyber Cafe below.....

You need to purchase X5 before entry into the Cafe I'm afraid buddy!!

Hi,

Thank you for your help. My website is: http://www.hneil.plus.com/weather.html

I probably don't need cutting edge as my main concern is maintenance of the current site rather than doing any new work. I just need it to work. BlueGriffon works but it is a little awkward to manipulate.

Hi Howard..... Thanks!

All you need to do is copy the content over to a "NEW" structure. There is no design as such on yours at the moment. I'm sure you'll be able to create a more dynamic website using X5 no doubt!!

Thanks for your reply. I'll give it a try. Is copying straighforward copy and paste or is there anything else I need to bear in mind?

Howard I suggest copying your content off the internet (Just tried it) It will be much easier for you.... Usually what I do in such cases is copy it to Notepad then edit the text to make sure it's OK Then paste it into X5!!

Shouldn't take you long.... I suppose it'll take you longer getting used to X5 ha ha
