Why do i have to pay a license again

One year ago i have bought the w5. when i bought it, i thought it would be mine, but now i have to buy another license every year? when i had my very first version on cd rom, i did not have to pay every year?
or does the license include the name and server space i use on one.com?
maybe i am confused about this. can anybody clarify for me? thanks

Incomedia changed the update procedure some time ago. Licenses are now sold for one year and you will receive all updates during this period. After the year is over, you will not receive an update, but the software can still be used without restrictions.
