What are the limits of website X5 for selling software with licencing, etc? 
Autore: Tony AustinHaving read Branislav Nemeth's post How to sale of licenses in X5 pro v2024.1.3 this leads me to ask whether/when WebSite X5 will properly support EDD (electronic digital downloads) for licensed software.
I am currently enhancing and will be re-releasing my product NotesTracker, and am going to use WebSite X5 (WSX5) to build an attractive base website.
I have examined several eCommerce solutions for fully supporting the selling and supporting of software, such as Easy Digital Downloads (EDD) for WordPress, and providers such as FastSpring and Verifone who support the entirity of steps for selling, licensing, supporting and version upgrading of software apps.
I'm rather surprised that Incomedia uses Verifone (2checkout.com) for the selling of WebSite X5 and its other software products. Is Incomedia ever going to enhance WSX5's own eCommerce features to matach this capability? That is, why are Incomedia not "eating your own dog food" as the Americans say!
If I cannot use WSX5's built-in eCommerce feature to accomplish this, how can I get details about fully integrating Verifone (or FastSpring, or others) into a WSX5 templete? An excellent response would be a full explanation of the design of Incomedia's own web shop so that we users can do something similar?

in the immediate future we are not planning an integration of this kind, however you could check what those platforms provide in terms of integration, as they may have resources to integrate their services on a website through their codes.
