Hi there,

My client recently switched hosts, and we're trying to get everything up and working again. Mostly everything is working without a problem, however the only thing that's acting up is the web store/database.

Supposedly everything was transferred over from the old host where everything was working fine, but when I try to test place an order I get a "Generic Error" right before step 4, and trying to connect to the admin area leads to a blank page with "Analytics: Cannot connect to database".

I thought about reuploading the site to resolve the issue, but when I connect, I get this error:

I checked my database settings and don't see anything inherently wrong with it. I'm trying to find out if the database host name is still the same with the new hosts, but just in case, is there anything else anyone can suggest might be the issue?

Hello Melissa,
it may be that the current Host Name is incorrect, I would suggest taking a look at the database parameters in your control panel and double-checking that they are set the same way in the software.
