Can't ask for new password and e-mails not send

A few weeks ago we got messages from users telling that thaey didn't get mails when they asked for a new password. It has been ok for some month, and suddenly (something like in mid July) it didn't.
We have worked on it intensively but we can't get it to work.
It is working on other sites!
We then took a lokk into other pages, where e-mails are distributed. And they are also not working.
I have tried to document everything in the attached document.
All passwords has been inserted by copy and paste.

In my demo shop (Pro 2025.2.8), requesting a password doesn't work either, even though the test customers and I, as the operator of the demo shop, receive emails.
Perhaps Incomedia can provide a general comment on Monday about why the email sending doesn't work when requesting a password.

if you check the control panel of your website, by adding /admin after the URL and logging in with the credentials of any user set as administrator, do you see any errors in the e-mail log you can find at the bottom of the "Website Test" section?
I would also recommend disabling this function, some providers do not support it.

There are error messages but they are all from the testing we did during the weekend. And the error error massages is only related to test mails from "Website Test".
I have tested everything again today and no new messages are shown.

could you please check if the situation is the same after disabling the "Allow sending from alternative senders" option?
Please also disable this, as it is not needed to mark this one unless you want to sent the notification from an address that does not match the one set in the Parameters.

I am really sorry - we found the reason, and it's all our fault.
If you look into my document you will on page 2 see that the SMTP-address is websmpt.simply.com, which we apparently were blind to.
I have noticed your suggestion regarding "Sender e-mail address:" and "Allow sending from alternative senders". They will be modified all over.
Thank you for your prompt reply and I hope I can return next time we have any problems up here in Denmark.
