Pictures with inserted internet links placed in text objects disappear when the text box is edited.  To illustrate the problem I have attached a screendump of a Text Object I have created.  When I save it the links will work. But if I edit the Text Object further the pictures disappear together withh their respective internet links.  Has anybody got a fix/work around for this problem?

. . . and why not place pictures in *picture-cells* - and then link the pictures ?

I also have trouble making links to gif files. In earlier versions v7 and v8, I have been able to create links to gif images in a text frame, but it is not possible in v9. I can save gif images into a text frame, then it is visible on the page I make. But when I add a link to the gif image gif image disappears from the text frame. Why??

And to Pcssa Denia - It is not always practical with a frame for each image, banner or sign, it may be too extensive. In the dynamic text frames, it is easier to keep it simple when you often need to change something.

Hello Tor,

Are you using a doftware like CCleaner? Can you recreate the problem and then attach here the iwzip file?

Simply do as follows:

  1. Create a new empty project
  2. Add a text object in the homepage and in it recreate the image issue.
  3. When the issue is recreated, make sure the images are in the text-object, than save and export the project as iwzip. Do not reenter in the text-object before saving the iwzip or it will not contain the images!
  4. Attach the iwzip here. If it's larger than 1MB, send it to file@answers.websitex5.com typing "To Claudio N." as subject and providing a link to this post in the email body.

Thank you!
