You have a really nice template in School and Education called "Time runs" that I would like to use.
However, it has a black background.
Since I don't see a way around this, how can I edit the template so the background is white or whatever I want it to be?

did you want the menu to stay black or do you want that white too ?
did you want it to look like this ?
edges are more smooth on this one
Thank you for helping Si Robinson!
Did you find a solution Tim?
To change the template color you can go into the progam files copy the file containing the images of the chosen template (C:\Program Files\WebSite X5 v9 - Evolution\Templates\7.School and Education\Time runs\Hor\#1) and rebuild it in the custom teplate section. You need to add the images in each section (header, menu, content, footer and bg) and set the size of each image. To change the content color you have to modify the ''content.jpg'' file with a graphic editor. You can give it any color you like then add it to website.
Tim if you want me to give you the edited content.jpg file i can do but you are gonna need to reply to this thread.

What about the ImPrev.jpg, will that have to be changed too?
I ask this because the background is black, too.
no the prev pic is just that a preview
go to this directory C:\Program Files(x86)\WebSite X5 v9 - Evolution\Templates\7.School and Education\Time runs\Hor\#1 rename the content.jpg file (just incase you need it later) and then copy the attached file into that directory.
when you go to load the template this time it will still show the preview template as black but once its loaded it will be white now you have the updated content file.
btw, you can edit the ImPrev.jpg file to show as white but because its only a small jpg it makes it a bit hard as all the parts of the template are joined.
Have fun if you want to do that though lol

Thanks for the help Si Robinson!
It's greatly appreciated.
I now have a better understanding of how the templates work.
I found that I could make the same changes.
However, I also found that I could not take the same files and create the same thing through the custom template.
The right side of the content was messed up for some reason.
Anyone have anyideas why?
you can but the settings need to be correct ie. repeated hor or vert etc.
its going to come down to something like that anyway.
remember the template is set up to fit perfectly so it may not if you just chuck it all in there manually so its those small settings that will need to be adjusted for it to fit.
i may be wrong or i may be right but thats the way i think it works, i'm usually right though lol, apart from the times i'm not hahaha

lol, very funny.
I'll mess with that a bit and see what I come up with.
Again, thank you for you time.
