cannot open project in x10 ,says " can not startbecause it was not closed propely or in use". When i close this message, than it says "cannot not be removed , witch i clearly do not want.

Hello Alain,
Please try to open the folder where the projects are stored, which you can find by opening the Preferences in the main screen of WebSite X5. Once found the folder with the project name open it and then go in the Backup folder and copy the latest backup file in the main folder. Rename the file project.iwprj to OLD.iwprj and then the backup file to project.iwprj
Once done try to open the project again in the Program.
