Taskbar blocks bottom of window  en

Hi,

So I am running the latest update of v10 compact on my netbook, and I am having this minor (but not too minor) issue with the taskbar covering up the window at the bottom, so I have no access to the "Next" or "Enter" or whatever button is down there (no scroll buttons either). I cannot shift the window anywhere, and changing the taskbar property settings do not work.

I have my machine set to the required resolution (1024x768) as some have suggested in other posts, but all it does is make my whole screen stretched into an unnatural ratio, but doesn't change the fact that my taskbar still covers the bottom of the X5 windows....

I saw a similar post on http://answers.websitex5.com/post/46604 but changing the display font size didn't help either...

It would be great if someone can help :) I have a windows XP, btw.

Hi Arisa,

Have you checked to ensure you have the correct and latest graphics driver for your netbook?

Are you running v10 in a maximised window?

You say that changing the taskbar property settings 'doesn't work'  -  that is odd  -  can you expand on that?  What exactly happens when you try to alter taskbar settings?   It should at least be possible to hide the taskbar as and when you wish?

Best regards,

Paul

Hi Paul!

Thank you for your reply! Updating the graphics driver did the trick.
(For reference, I did this: http://www.cgl.ucsf.edu/chimera/graphics/updatexp.html)

And just to answer the other questions:
Yes, I ran v10 on both maxed and non-max sized windows, with no difference.
For the taskbar settings, the settings themselves would work (I could hide the task bar, keep them in place, etc.), but made no difference to whether I could see the bottom of the window or not.

But the graphics driver never occured to me, and I was searching all over online for this solution! Thank you!!

Kindest Regards,

Arisa
