Placing Php Script On Line 1 Of Page
Autore: Robert B.In another post, it was mentioned about the drop-down menu on the Page Properties where you may select "Before HTML Pages" as one of the options. Is this new in Version 9? I am using Version 8 and do not have that option. I have a php file that MUST be in line 1 on the page to work properly. If I insert the php script with Version 8 on the Page Properties advanced area as a php page, it inserts in into the HEAD of the page (of course). The php script comes out further down the page in the code and does not work. If I ftp to the server, edit the page and move the code to the line 1 position as needed, it works perfectly. Everything is fine until I update the site, even if I only select the partial update, and then the pages are overwritten and the php script moved back to the HEAD area. Will Version 9 solve this if I upgrade, or do you have any other suggestions? I am using version 8.0.16.
IN V9, you can place PHP code in line 1. Page properties, Expert Tab. It works perfectly, I used that function successfully.
Example (in French, sorry):
In V8 , I was able to do it by directly modifyng the index.html file that V8 uses to build the website. That file is located in the default installation folder, in Program files (x86), Website X5 V8 - Evolution, Models , Hor Ver ( I used a custom template for that).
It's a workaround, but it worked.

Bernard,
Thanks for the quick response and information. That is exactly what I needed to know. I think I will upgrade to Version 9 and save myself some further headaches.
