Hi Constantinos,
WebSite X5 lets you add a Search Field to your Website. The Search Engine looks at the Page Title and Content and displays its results in Pages that the Program creates automatically.
The following information will help you get the most out of WebSite X5's Search Engine:
Pages The Page elements that aSearch Engine considers are Title, Description and Keywords (seePage Properties | General), as well as the Contents. The occurrence of each word in the Page Titles is multiplied by a corrective factor before being matched to its occurrence in the Content. The relative occurrence is then calculated and the word's relevance is established and, consequently, the ranking of each Page is established in thesearchresults.
Members Area Locked Pagesthat need a Login and Password to access them (seeMembers Areas) are not considered by theSearchEngine, if no user is currently logged in.
Hidden Pages Hiddenpages are considered by the internalSearchEngine.
Exclude a Page from the Search If you don't want a Page to be considered by the Search Engine, select it in the Sitemap, open the Page Properties window and deactivate the Add this page to the Sitemap option in the Expertsection.
Upper case / Lower case The internalSearchEngine is not case-sensitive: it does not differentiate between upper and lower case letters.
Search Engine Results Pages The search results are displayed in Pages that are created automatically by the Program: their graphic aspect is defined is the Styles and Models section of Step 4 - Advanced Settings.
