Horizontal Slide Show thumbnail anomoly  en

I note that when I change a "thumb gallery" to an "horizontal gallery" and opt for a different thumbnail scheme, the thumbnails appear as a mixture of the previous sheme and the new scheme.

I don't want to keep having to create new items to resolve these sorts of issues.Cry

Is it a programming problem?

Hello Nigel,

The thumbnails are displaying uniformly in my browser via the link you posted.

This will almost certainly be a caching issue.  Clear your browser cache after making changes to your X5 project, which will enable you to see the most recent version of the updated webpage.

You can use CTRL + F5 to clear cache on a page by page basis, although in my experience this doesn't always work correctly on Google Chrome.  Chrome has a useful 'incognito' mode though, which doesn't cache pages.

Hope this helps.

Paul

Hi there Paul.

good prompt answer.

The "cache" problem is one I'm used to in that after a routine "publish" I often have to refresh the particular page several times before the "edits" show up.

What I didn't realize is that an historical "edit" can present a cache problem, even after several months...lol!

There is a similar problem if I allow my web provider to switch on quick caching.

That was a nightmare in that it might take several hours for the edited page/s to show up for ANY visitor!

I had to have them switch it off again.

Best,

Nigel
